横浜の繁華街を歩いていたらDRAGON GATEが家の近くでイベントを開くとのポスターを発見！

寂れた建物の扉に隠れたように貼られたポスターだったので見つけたのも偶然だったのですが、イベント開催地を２度身しました。

と言うのも、モロ近所だったから！
一番近いコンビニレベルでは無いものの、地域の図書館に隣接されたホールで行われるとのこと。
妻が10代の頃によく利用していた図書館で、彼女は「あんなところに開催できるだけの場所があったの？？」と驚いていました。

半信半疑で当日足を運んでみると、グッズ売り場やプロレスラーにサインしてもらえる場所、また握手できるコーナーまでありました。

普段行くようなイベントよりも人が少なかったものの、会場は大盛り上がり！

新年近くに開催される新日本プロレスのWRESTLE KINGDOMに妻を連れて行ったことがありますが、その時よりも間近にレスラー達をみることができ「楽しかった」とのことでした。

それだけに、もっとイベントを宣伝してくれれば！ともったいない気持ちになります。

この日のイベント会場のブッキングやスケジュール予定を後日スタッフに聞いても、誰も何もわからず。
しかもこの場所のホームページにすらどんな催し物があるかが書いていないんです。

街中にランダムに貼られているポスターしかイベントの情報が無いのは、開催側もファン側ももどかしいままに終わってしまいます。

There’s a library Bearfriend uses from when she was a teenager.
It’s only a couple of stops away, and perfectly walkable from our house.

Yet she had no idea the compound had halls that prowrestling events took place.

We watch the DRAGON GATE event in a small Yokohama hall that is walking distance from our house.

The event was AWESOME, with merch, handshakes with wrestlers, signing corners.

It was just pure luck we found out about this day’s event.
Because it wasn’t anywhere on the internet, nor it was scheduled on the hall’s website (wait… oh yea, they don’t have any!)

A chicken skewer izakaya owner that is a fan of prowrestling told us about this event.
His place gathers wrestlers, so he gets posters and autographs and info about matches.

He saw me wearing a Muta shirt, and POW!… that was the start of our friendship.

If the wrestling companies and event halls had better ways to advertise themselves, I think more fans would’ve came.

I hope to be of help to small events like these so that the seats would be full instead of being totally unaware for many.
