先日ゲームショップをぶらついていると、以前僕もプレイした「8番出口」がソフトになっていたのに驚きました。

このゲームは世界でも多くのゲーマーやユーチューバーが実況しており、瞬く間に日本の駅の恐ろしさ(?)がグローバルな知識として認識されることとなりました。
個人が制作するインディーゲームは僕はいつも応援していますが、8番出口を作った人が成功しているのを見ると嬉しくなります。

ただ一つ・・・

海外に住んでいると日本の駅に散らばる黄色い道案内は見ることが無いので、ゲームを一旦クリアすると「面白かった！」「なんとか出れた！」で終わりますが、日本に（しかも都会）に住んでいると、あの黄色い背景に「８」と書かれいているのを見るだけでゲームイン！

自分が実際にゲームの中に入ったような錯覚にどうしても陥ります。

結果、通勤途中でもこんな脳内に

無意識に異変を探してキョロキョロしたり、「濡れた床」のコーンが立っている日には無駄にビクついたり・・・
日本に住んでいる方々はもはや通常過ぎて鋼の精神が出来上がっているので、羨ましいです。

・・・それとも、僕ほど露骨ではないだけで、みんなも密かにゲームイン現象を楽しんでたりして・・・。

If you’re a gamer, I’m sure you’ve heard of the infamous “Exit 8” that spread out across the globe like a wildfire a little while ago.

Lucky for overseas gamers, this horror experience of purgatory is something that’ll end with the game.
That leaves us gamers living in Japan that went through the same hell being forced to relive the nightmare in real life (if you’re living in the metropolitan area).

If you’re like me with an uncontrollably playful imagination, that digit and the yellow background can mean one thing.
WATCH OUT FOR ANOMALIES!

Am I the only one doing this everyday I commute?
I mean, it IS a Japanese game that first launched in the country.

Or…. do the people hide their panic so well just like the guy we come across in the game?
