Last weekend, we hosted the Red Eagles Hokkaido for two consecutive home games.
After a devastating loss on the first day, the team bounced back spectacularly and showed an exellent performance the next day, even surprising our fans!
Here are some highlights from those fierce matches!
A brilliant revenge at home! Results from the Red Eagles Hokkaido game
The two home games on Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12th were truly a hair-raising trip.
Saturday, October 11th Game Result:
4-9 Loss The first day was a disheartening loss, conceding a large number of goals.
Despite the tough results, there was some bright news that day: #86 Junseo scored his first Asia League goal!
The players learned from the result that day and focused on improving their weaknesses, preparing for the next day’s game.
October 12th (Sunday) Match Result:
8-4 Striking Victory!
The GRITS have been reborn, determined to avenge the previous day’s loss!
Their offense exploded, scoring eight goals against the powerful Hokkaido Red Eagles for a sweeping 8-4 victory!
The team’s intense power and focus in the match immediately following a loss is a testament to their growth.
The players channeled the enthusiastic cheers of the fans into a stunning revenge!
Note: Kuji’s 8th Goal
#1 Kuji’s final goal of the October 12th match was scored under special circumstances.
While the opposing team was on the bench (empty net) and attacking, the defending team committed a foul, preventing Kuji from scoring.
Therefore, a goal was awarded immediately, rather than a penalty shot.
It was an unusual goal, as it was awarded at the referee’s discretion in accordance with Rule number 25!
