カップヘッドは唯一無二の鬼畜神ゲー
このゲームは好きすぎて、
誰もが「そんなことあり得るのか？」って注目が集まり始めたのでした。
だって…チュートリアルだぞ？！…と自分も思ったのを覚えています。
ちょうど2人同時プレイすることができるので、
モルデンハウアー兄弟の情熱を注いだ力作
キングダイスの歌がカッコいい！
カップヘッドの難易度は？
上記のキングダイスのステージで 2人と止まってしまっています。
ロックマン２のワイリーステージに出てくるドラゴンを彷彿とさせて、ノスタルジーに浸ってしまいます。
ゲーム音すらなく、彼女も集中していて無口。
（ボリューム上げればよかった！）

Cuphead: A One-of-a-Kind, Brutally Hard Masterpiece
Cuphead!
I love this game so much that I honestly don’t know where to start.
I first heard about it when a streamer couldn’t beat the tutorial, and the internet went wild.
Everyone was asking, “Is that even possible?” I remember thinking the same thing.
It’s the tutorial, right?! After watching a lot of overseas streamers play it, we decided to give it a try ourselves.
The game has two-player co-op, so I took Cuphead, the older brother, and BearFriend took Mugman, the younger one.
If you check out my YouTube gaming channel, Koco Plays, you’ll see that BearFriend is the one who takes down most of the bosses. lol
Every time BearFriend died mid-fight, I had to carry on alone, so I’d say I personally cleared about 2% of the game. lol
Still, I fell head over heels for the world, the music, the unique characters, the songs, and the story.
Even now I can’t forget it, and it’s one of those games I want to go back to once in a while.
A Labor of Love from the Moldenhauer Brothers
The story behind how Cuphead was made is fascinating too.
Two brothers living in Canada fell in love with the American “rubber hose” animation style of the 1930s, and they drew all the animation by hand, one brushstroke at a time.
It’s amazing. They designed everything themselves, from the bosses to the backgrounds.
It became a worldwide hit, but it was so difficult to make that they’ve said they never would have started if they’d known how hard it would be.
So I doubt we’ll get a “Cuphead 2” in exactly the same style.
But rumors online say a game with those brothers might come out, maybe an 8-bit Cuphead or something in a different style.
King Dice’s Song Is So Cool!
The whole soundtrack is built around swing jazz, but the one that really sticks in my head is King Dice’s theme.
You can hear it inside the Die House on the way to a new area.
I’ve watched many streamers who just stopped and listened, hooked by the great tempo and the quirky lyrics.
King Dice himself is a male character, but the theme is sung by a woman! If you search “King Dice live” on YouTube, you can see her perform.
How Hard Is Cuphead?
I’ve been praising this game nonstop, but the truth is that BearFriend and I still haven’t beaten it. lol
We’re stuck at the King Dice stage, as a duo.
In the file where BearFriend plays alone, she made it all the way to the final boss, the Devil.
But when we play together, there’s a lot more chatter during the game, and it seems to break her focus.
It’s a game where you go stage by stage along your own path, and my favorite stage is the dragon boss.
It reminds me of the dragon in Wily’s stage in Mega Man 2, and I get totally nostalgic.
I’m also fond of the flower boss from the early game. I see it as a meme all the time, so it has a special place in my heart.
Honestly, every boss gave us trouble, but the one that felt the most hopeless was the doctor’s stage in the late game. BearFriend finally beat it by herself, which you can see on my Koco Plays channel.
There’s no game audio, and she was so focused that she barely said a word. (I should’ve turned the volume up!)
You Can Watch the Cuphead Anime on Netflix
Netflix made an animated series of the game, and as a fan, I was thrilled and watched every episode.
It’s a blast to see the characters from the game running wild in an anime.
I recommend it to everyone.
It’s a very hard game, but my overall rating is 10 out of 10.
It’s a flawless masterpiece, and I want every action gamer to play it!
