ちょっぴりスパイスの効いたココポップドリンクショー（賞）、2024年度へようこそ！

ここでは私ココトスが1年を振り返って「良かった！」と思ったものに、上記の画像の炭酸飲料、「ココポップ」を進呈していくコーナーとなります。美味しそうですよね、上のAIドリンク、うん（謎に満足）。

スポーツブログや番組は全てのイベントを見るわけではなく、もし見たとしてもハイライトやまとめしか目を通してない一つの団体を取り上げるだけだったりします。もっと最悪な場合は各イベントで活躍したレスラー達を直接見ずに、結果のみをググったりするまとめもあるほど。

しかしココポップは実際に私が足を運んでコンタクトレンズの入っていない老眼と乱視のこの目でしかと確かめたものしかとりあげません。そういった意味では日本在住で週に3、４回イベントに行ける現在の境遇は本当に恵まれていると感じております。

そこで出てくるのがココルール。

この2つがレビューの対象となります。

それでは、早速2024年ココポップドリンク賞へ！

Welcome to the slightly spiced Coco Pop Drink Show (Awards) 2024!

Here, we will look back on the year and give “Coco Pop”, the carbonated beverage in the image above, to what we thought was “good!” Sounds delicious, doesn’t it, the AI drink above, yes (satisfied with the mystery).

Sports blogs and shows don’t look at all events, and if they do, they only cover one group that only looks at highlights and summaries. In the worst case, there is even a summary that does not directly see the wrestlers who were active in each event, but only googles the results.

However, Coco Pop can only pick up what I actually went to and confirmed with my own eyes that I have presbyopia and astigmatism without contact lenses. In that sense, I feel that I am really blessed to be in the current situation where I live in Japan and can go to events three or four times a week.

That’s where Coco Rule comes in.

These two are the subject of the review.

With so many fans having different views on what professional wrestling is and what it should be, the Pop Awards are the fairest and most honest way to do it.

Actually going to an event and watching a live game is much better than watching it on TV, and you can see more with your own eyes without being distracted by the commentary.

These awards don’t have any particular rankings, but this year’s Pop of the Year was the only one that came to mind.

宮原健斗　ー　Kento Miyahara

彼は全てを持っていて、人間の中にひっそりと存在する神です。
誰もが悪者になり得る時代に、彼は完璧なヒーローです。

彼は自分の立ち振る舞いや行いで他の人々を導きながら、皆が彼を応援する旅にふぁんを連れて行ってくれます。

彼は全日本プロレスを救い、日本のプロレスが西洋の薄っぺらなバージョンではなく、正しく強くあることができるという希望を人々に与えてくれました。

He has it. He is a God among men. In a time where anyone and I do me ”anyone” can be a villain, he is the perfect hero. 

He brings you on a journey with everyone rooting for him while doing the right thing and bringing others up with him.

He saved All Japan and gave people hope that pro wrestling in Japan can be done right and not a water down version of the west. 

拳王　ー　Kenoh

彼はプロレスリング・ノアの魂そのものです。

ノアの箱舟は浮き沈みを繰り返します。
自分の団体の選手に注力している時は上昇し、他団体と提携してビッグショーに進出している時は下降するパターンが続いています。

しかし、たとえ最低の時でも、拳王の存在は変わりません。

全力を尽くす時になると、拳王ほど情熱的な選手はいません。
日本のアリーナに轟く彼のキックは、いつまでも色褪せる事はないでしょう。

彼は貪欲さを見せず、箱舟を他人に任せようとします。
しかし、箱舟が岩にぶつかり、いわゆる「金がなけりゃ、ネタバレも増える」状況に陥った時、彼は常に自ら修復し、再びノアを照らす光を後継者に渡すときが来てしまうでしょう。

He is the heart soul of Pro Wrestling NOAH.

The Ark goes up and down. Up when they focus on their athletes and down when they work with any other company on the big shows. 

But even at their lowest we will always have Kenoh.

When he goes all out no one has more heart and his kicks booming through Japanese arenas will never get old. 

He is not a greedy man  and tries to let others drive the Ark but when it crashes into a rock aka “Mo Money, Mo Spoilers.” He is always the one to have to fix it up and try to pass the torch again. 

中嶋勝彦　ー　Katsuhiko Nakajima

現代のプロレス界で「最恐」の男。
まさに日本のデニス・ロッドマンとも言える存在です。

長年にわたり、彼は様々な論争を巻き起こしてきました。
ファンは彼を愛しているものの、有力な噂によると、団体はそうではないらしい。

Xやミステリーオポネントが登場する時はいつでも、私たちは彼のために祈る。
彼のスタイルはあまりにも強烈かつカリスマチックだけに、あなたは我を忘れ、そして再び信じてしまう。
私にとって完璧なプロレスとはまさにこれです。

彼は、力強く素早い蹴りと打撃を中心とするスタイルを持っています。
中島健人は彼のスタイルを「闘魂スタイル」と名付けましたが、後にIGFとの著作権紛争を経て「XXスタイル」に変更されることになります。

GLEATは彼にぴったりで、彼もGLEATにぴったり。

私が団体を作るなら、彼を中心にしたいです。

The Baddest Man in Professional Wrestling going today. He is the Dennis Rodman of Japan. He has had controversies over the years. The fans love him but according to strong rumors not the companies. 

He is the man whenever there is an X or Mystery Opponent we are praying for him. His style is so strong you lose yourself and you believe again. That is what perfect pro wrestling is to me. 

His style is based upon strong, fast kicks and strikes; his style has been dubbed by Nakajima as “Toukon Style” (闘魂 STYLE, Tōkon sutairu), which was later changed to “XX Style” following a copyright dispute with IGF.

GLEAT is perfect for him and he is perfect for GLEAT.

I would build any company around him. 

山下実優　ー　Miyu Yamashita

今年はもっと女子プロレスを観たい！
でも、Wrestle Universeでも生で観た女子レスラーの中で一番多かったのは彼女でした。
私にとって彼女は完璧なレスラー。強く、逞しく、そして俊敏。

山下実優は東京女子プロレスのトップスターとして推され、2016年1月4日に初代プリンセス・オブ・プリンセス王者に輝きました。
4度の王座獲得で合計1,239日という記録を打ち立ててからは、プロレス界のエースとして認められています。

見る観客全てに大きなインパクトを与えている彼女の素晴らしさは、今や世界中に知れ渡っています。いずれ殿堂入りするレジェンドになることでしょう。

彼女が新設されたGHC女子王座に挑戦してくれたらと願っています。
もし彼女が出場する試合があるなら、私は絶対にチケットを手に入れることでしょう。

もし私がプロレス団体を持っていたら、女子部門は彼女を中心に作り上げたく思っています。

I need to watch more Women’s wrestling this year. But the female wrestler I watched the most on Wrestle Universe and in person was Miyu. For me she is the perfect wrestler. Strong, stiff and agile. 

Miyu Yamashita was pushed as the top star of Tokyo Joshi Pro, and became the first ever Princess of Princess Champion on January 4, 2016. Yamashita has gone on to hold the title for a combined total of 1,239 days over the course of four title reigns, both records, and has come to be recognized as the promotion’s ace.

The world is finding out how great she is as she is making a huge impact around the globe. I think she will be a Hall of Famer legend when it is all said and done. 

I hope she has a crack at the new GHC Womens title. If I am ever on the fence of going to see a show and see her on the card, that is a guarantee ticket for me. 

If I had a company I would build the woman’s division around her.

ヤマト　ー　Yamato

ドラゴンゲートの魂が人の形を取ってくれました。
私自身長年の大ファンで、末っ子に彼の名前をつけたほどです。

彼は現オープン・ザ・ドリームゲート王者であり、6度の優勝経験の持ち主。

後楽園ホールや横浜で、私が彼の名前を絶叫しているのを見かけたことがある方もいると思います。YAMATO!!!!

拳王がYAMATOに挑戦状を叩きつけた時、そこにいた私は興奮を抑えるのに必死でした。
横浜でも同じことがあればよかったのにと、ふと思ってしまうほど。
レッスルマジックで1on1の試合をしたときも私は実際会場にいました。

プロレス界は変化し続けますが、YAMATOは常にドラゴンゲートを守るためにこれからも存在してほしいです。

The heart and soul of Dragon Gate. Have been a huge fan of his for years. I even named my youngest son after him. 

He is the current and six time Open the Dream Gate Champion. 

I can be seen at Korakuen Hall or in Yokohama screaming his name. YAMATO!!!! 

I was in Tokyo when Kenoh came out to challenge him and went nuts. Wish it happened in the Yokohama area. I was also in the building at Wrestle Magic when they went one on one. 

Many things change in pro wrestling but Yamato is always there to protect Dragon Gate. 

遠藤哲也　ー　Tetsuya Endo

今DDTから目が離せなく、気がつけばいつもチェックしています。
テツヤ氏は素晴らしい選手で、ほとんどどの団体でエースになれる素質を持っているように思います。なぜなら彼の持つ高い運動能力のおかげで、どんなスタイルのプロレスにも溶け込むことができるから。

彼はKO-D無差別級王者に3度、そしてKO-Dタッグチーム王者に4度輝いた経歴の持ち主。

現在NOAHでツアーを組んでおり、最初はすごく楽しみにしていたが、少々期待を裏切られてしまった部分もあります。
彼は「クール」なヒールグループに身を置き、日本プロレスではすでに誰もが見飽きた乱入・乱闘騒ぎの渦中にいるのが残念でなりません。

彼がただ怪我を隠しているだけで、キャリアの1年を無駄にしていないことを祈ります。

I have been checking out DDT more and more. He is impressive and could be an Ace in most companies. He can blend in with almost any style of pro wrestling thanks to his athletic ability. 

He is a three time KO-D Openweight Champion and a former four time KO-D Tag Team Champion.

He is currently doing a tour in NOAH which at first I was crazy excited for but it was for nothing as he is in a “Cool” Heel group with run ins that is an overdone poison killing Japan pro wrestling. Hopefully he is just hiding an injury and not wasting a year of his career. 

エル・ヒホ・デ・ドクター・ワグナー・ジュニア　ー　El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

ワグナー！

この抜きん出たレスラーは今年、NOAHで素晴らしい活躍を見せてくれました。
5月4日のレッスルマジックで清宮海斗にタイトルを失ったのは奇妙なタイミングでしたが、彼はNOAHのファンの間で人気を博しています。
NOAHからすれば清宮海斗をエースにしたいのは明らかでしたが、ワグナーからスポットライトを奪うのは容易ではありません。

彼はチケット完売という飛ぶ鳥を落とす落とす勢いだった時点のNOAHを去りました。
NOAH自体がその後どういう方向性も持って運営していくのは分かりませんが、ワグナーはどこへ行ってもスターになることでしょう。

早く日本に戻ってくることを心から祈っております。

WAGNER!

He had a fantastic run this year in NOAH. When he lost the title to Kaito Kiyomiya on May 4 at Wrestle Magic it was weird timing. He was so over with NOAH’s fan base. It is obvious NOAH wants  Kaito Kiyomiya to be the Ace but that night was not his night. 

He left NOAH with a sold out crowd and a ton of momentum. Where they go from there is unknown but wherever he goes he will be a star and hope he returns to Japan soon. 

HAYATO ー　Hayato

わずか25歳にして、すべてを備えた軽量級レスラー。
しかしその実力はヘビー級のように重く、スピードがあり、飛ぶこともできます。
彼は女性に大人気で「ジョジョの奇妙な冒険」風のルックスをしており、男性も応援したくなるほど素晴らしいレスラーの一人でもあります。

ハヤトは（これを読む時期によって異なりますが）オールアジアタッグチームチャンピオンシップを獲得しました。
これは現在日本で活動している最古のタイトルでもあります。
彼は全日本でも長くスターであり続けるだろうと予想しております。

Is a lighter wrestler that has it all at only the age of 25. He is stiff as a heavy weight, he is fast, and can fly. He has a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure look that women love and it is so well done men root for him too. 

Hayato has/had (Depending when you read this) All Asia Tag Team Championship. It is also the current oldest active title in Japan. He is going to be a star in All Japan for a long time. 

忍者マック　ー　Ninja Mack

忍者マック!!!!

ここ数年、その名前を100万回以上叫んできました。
日本のファンの多くは、私のことを「ニンジャ・マック・ガイ」と呼んでもらえるほどです。

忍者マックが来日した時、世界中のファンから「観るべきだ」と言われました。
彼は私がプロレスに求めるもの全てを兼ね備えているから、絶対好きなレスラーの一人になるだろうと皆んなが忍者マックを推していました。
そして、結果は彼らの言う通りに。
彼は飛べるし、速いし、男気があり、ハードコア！まさに、何でもできる人物なのです。

ニンジャ・マックはアスリートとしての経歴があり、サイプレス・クリーク高校でアマチュアレスリングに出場し、後にサイプレス・アカデミー・オブ・ジムナスティクスで体操コーチを務めました。
シルク・ドゥ・ソレイユをはじめ、アメリカ、メキシコ、ベネズエラ、ベルギーで他のサーカス団にもツアーで参加するという経歴の持ち主。

忍者マックはブッカー・Tに師事し、2014年12月にブッカー率いるリアリティ・オブ・レスリング（ROW）でデビューしました。

彼はNOAH、NJPW、Dragon Gate、GCW、ROH、WXWなど、数多くの団体で活躍してきました。
NJPWか、あるいは大物団体が彼をフルタイム契約で獲得してくれることを願っています。

NINJA MACK!!!!

I have screamed that name at least a million times over the last few years. A ton of Japanese fans even know me as Ninja Mack Guy! 

Fans around the world told me to watch Ninja Mack when he came to Japan because he was everything I like about professional wrestling. And they were right he can fly, he is fast, he is stiff, he is hardcore. He can do it all. 

Ninja Mack has an athletic background, as he competed in amateur wrestling at Cypress Creek High School, and later worked as a gymnastics coach at Cypress Academy of Gymnastics. He also toured with Cirque du Soleil, as well as with other circuses in the United States, Mexico, Venezuela and Belgium.

Mack was trained by Booker T, and debuted for Booker’s promotion Reality of Wrestling (ROW) in December 2014. 

He has wrestled for NOAH, NJPW, Dragon Gate, GCW, ROH, WXW, and many more. I hope NJPW or someone big picks him up on a full time contract. 

斉藤ブラザーズ　ー　Saito Brothers

斉藤ブラザーズは、日系アメリカ人の双子の兄弟、斉藤ジュン（さいとう・じゅん）と斉藤レイ（さいとう・れい）からなるプロレスタッグチームです。

2009年9月、アメリカでアメリカンフットボール選手として活躍した後、斉藤ブラザーズは相撲界入りを果たすため出羽海部屋に入団しました。
四股名は藤の海順（ふじのうみ・じゅん）と藤の花礼（ふじの花・れい）。
ジュンは2013年7月に幕下47段の最高位を獲得し、2017年5月に引退しますが、レイは2012年7月に三段目16段の最高位を獲得し、2017年9月に引退しました。

最初はファンとしてチームの盛り上がりに気づきませんでしたが、次第に彼らの魅力にとりつかれ、それ以来ずっと感銘を受けています。
彼らを見ていると80年代のプロレス最高時代を彷彿とさせます。

もしあなたが昔ながらのタッグチームレスリングが好きなら、このチームはまさにうってつけでしょう。
彼らは今、日本で非常に人気があり、レスリングファンでない人でも知っているほど。
タッグチームでもシングルでも成功を収めている、まさに無敵の二人組です。

シングルで成功を収めていく中でも、是非チームとして存続してほしいと願っています。
彼らのような素晴らしいタッグチームを作るのは容易ではなく、チームとして団結し続けることが求められる時代だからです。

The Saito Brothers are a professional wrestling tag team composed of Japanese American twin brothers Jun Saito (斉藤ジュン, Saitō Jun) and Rei Saito (斉藤レイ, Saitō Rei).

In September 2009, after having prowess in the United States as American football players, the Saito brothers joined the Dewanoumi stable to compete in sumo. They were given the shikona (ring name) of Fujinoumi Jun (藤の海 順) and Fujinohana Rei (藤の花 礼). Jun achieved his highest rank of makushita 47 in July 2013 and retired in May 2017; Rei achieved his highest rank of sandanme 16 in July 2012 and retired in September 2017.

I didn’t see the hype of the team at first as a fan but they grew on me and have impressed me ever since. They make it feel like the 80’s again in the best way possible. 

If you love old school tag team wrestling, this team is for you. They are so popular in Japan right now even non-wrestling fans know who they are. They have had tag team success and single success. 

My hope is no matter how much singles success they have, they stay as a team. We live in an era where it is not easy to make a fantastic tag team and they stick together. 

辻陽太　ー　Yota Tsuji

私は生涯を通じて新日本プロレスの大ファンでした。
しかし、大好きだったヒーローたちは次々とチームを去っていくことになります。
ブッキングも控えめに言っても酷いものとなり、新日本プロレスを最も的確に表現するとすれば、ハリウッドに必死になろうとするオフ・ブロードウェイの演劇でしょう。確かに演劇ではあるものの、お気に入りの俳優は代役に過ぎない。
二番煎じ、三番煎じというところでしょうか。

バレット・クラブは単なるコピー＆ペーストに成り果ててしまい、若いレスラーたちは皆、次の棚橋、内藤、オカダ、そして中村の役を演じるだけに甘んじています。

そんな渦中に新風を吹き込んでいるのが、横濱の辻陽太です。

辻は野球、アメリカンフットボール、そしてテコンドーを経験してきた正真正銘のアスリート。2012年3月、横浜立野高校を卒業し、2016年3月には日本体育大学を卒業しました。

彼はカリスマ性溢れるスターでもあり、ローリングストーン誌の表紙を飾ったこともあるほどです。
独特のルックス、その雰囲気、そしてリングでの戦いぶり。
彼にはそれら全てが備わっているように感じます。

新日本プロレスは今年のレッスルキングダム以来、多少は成長しているものの、次のレベルに到達するには、まだまだ険しい道のりがあるように見えます。
過剰なヒールの乱入無しで、世界最高のタッグチーム、ロス・インゴベルナブレス・デ・ハポンを率いる必要があると信じています。
彼は今後、この団体の顔となるべき優れたレスラーなのです。

I was a huge New Japan  fan my whole life. But my heroes left one by one. And the booking has been horrible to say the least. The best way to describe NJPW is an off broadway play. Yea it is the play but your favorite actors are played by understudies. 

The Bullet Club is The Carbon Copy Club. Every young lion is playing the part of the next Tanahashi, Naito, Okada, and Nakumura. 

The breath of fresh air is Yokoahma’s very own Yota Tsuji. Tsuji had played baseball, American football and had done taekwondo. In March 2012, he graduated from Yokohama Tateno high-school. In March 2016, Tsuji graduated from Nippon Sport Science University.

Tsuji is an athlete and a star. He was on the cover of Rolling Stone. He has his own look, feel, and can go in the ring. He has it all.

New Japan has improved a bit since this year’s Wrestle Kingdom with that said to get to the next level he needs to lead Los Ingobernables de Japon the Best faction in the world that hasn’t been ruined with over the top heel run ins. He should be the face of the company moving forward. 

ドラゴン・ベイン＆アルファ・ウルフ　ー　Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf

日本ではロス・ゴルペアドレスとして知られるドラゴン・ベイン＆アルファ・ウルフは、現役タッグチームとしては世界最高峰です。
もし私がプロレスリング・ノアやどんな団体の経営者でも、彼らを中心にタッグチームを作り上げるでしょう。

プロレスをあまり知らない世界中の「一般」ファンをランダムに集めて、彼らの意見を聞くという別のコラムを現在執筆中ですが、新しいファンは皆、この2人から目が離せないようでした。

私がプロレスラーに求めるものをこの二人組は全て備えています。スピード、ハードボイルドさ、カッコよさ、そして宙を自在に舞うアスレチズム。

彼らは完璧なチームであり、早く日本に戻ってくることを心から願っております。

Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf better known in Japan as Los Golpeadores are the best active tag team in the world. If I was Pro Wrestling NOAH or ran any company I would lock them down for a long term contract. Any company in the world can build their whole tag team division around them. 

I am working on another column where I get random “casuals” fans from around the world that don’t know much about pro wrestling and see what they think. Every new fan loved these two. 

They have everything I look for4 in pro wrestlers, fast, stiff, look cool and can fly. They are the perfect team and hope for their return to Japan soon. 

稲葉ともか　ー　Tomoka Inaba

稲葉ともか選手（いなばともか、2002年7月24日生まれ）は、プロレスリング・ジャストタップアウトに所属する日本のプロレスラーです。
彼女はまた、センダイガールズプロレスやプロレスリングWAVEといった他のインディーズ団体でも活躍しています。

ジャストタップアウト・プロレスは女子プロレスの未来を担っているとも言えます。
22歳という若さで、このまま突き進めばスター選手になるでしょう。彼女の妹である稲葉あずさ選手は17歳という若さにも関わらず非常に才能に恵まれており、二人は今後何年もタッグチームを牽引しながら、人々をプロレスで魅了していくことでしょう。
稲葉女子は世界を変え、世界の女子プロレスの未来を担う存在です。

稲葉ともか選手はこの記事を書いている時点で、4度のクイーン・オブ・JTO王者であり、現女王でもあります。

Tomoka Inaba (稲葉ともか, Inaba Tomoka, born July 24, 2002) is a Japanese professional wrestler working for Professional Wrestling Just Tap Out. She is also well known for working with other independent promotions such as Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Wave.

Just Tap Out Pro Wrestling has the future of women’s pro wrestling. At 22 she will become a star if she sticks with it. She has a very talented sister in Azusa Inaba is only 17 so they can be a dominant tag team for years to come. Inaba women can change the world and be the future of women’s wrestling world wide. 

Tomoka Inaba as of writing this is a 4 time and current Queen of JTO Champion.

鈴木みのる　ー　Minoru Suzuki

我らが横浜の王者！

彼は究極のフリーエージェントであり、日本国内だけでなく世界中の多くのイベントに出場しては、観客を虜にしていきます。

彼の入場シーンはとにかく衝撃的で、プロレス界で最もタフな男の一人とされています。

いつもみのる選手のレスリングを見られるのは光栄だと思っています。
いつかプロレス会社を経営し、彼をチャンピオンにするのが私の夢です。

The King of Yokohama! 

He is the ultimate free agent and you can see him at many shows in Japan and around the world. 

His entrance is electric. He is seen as one of the baddest men in professional wrestling. 

It is an honor to see him wrestle. My dream is to one day run a company and have him be champion.
