元 WWF エンハンスメント レスラー、ACW レジェンド、フロリダのプロモーター兼マネージャーであるラルフ・モスカ氏（別名ラフハウス）が55 歳で亡くなりました。

彼はとても面白くて、いい人でした。
プロレスラーであり、プロモーター、そして努力家でもありました。

私たちはプロレスで一緒に一生懸命に練習し、何者にも縛られない時間を過ごしました。
プロレスのことや、人生で一番くだらないことについてまで、何時間も語り合う仲でした。

私たちは一緒にアメリカン・コンバット・レスリングを作り、当時、州内や世界で誰もやっていないことをやりました。

彼と二人の冒険を描いた本をずっと書きたかった。いつか一緒にやろうといつも自分に言い聞かせていたのに…くそっ。
もっと彼と話しておけばよかったと後悔しています。生きていると、ついいつももっと時間があると思ってしまいます。

ラフハウスとの思い出

たくさんある話の一つに、ニューポートリッチーに戻る途中の出来事があります。
疲れてホテルに泊まっていた間、彼は帰りたがっていましたが、僕含め他の仲間は遅くまで寝てプールで遊ぶ予定でした。
目覚まし時計が鳴ったと思ったら、彼が部屋に入ってきて、「チェックアウトの時間が過ぎたからホテルが警察を呼んでるぞ！」と叫びました。

みんなパニックになって荷物をまとめて出発しましたが、僕はまだ眠すぎて、車に着くまで何も気づきませんでした。
時計を見ると午前6時。
車のバッテリーがイカれたか、何か不具合があるんだと最初思いました。
疲れて混乱した頭でモスカを見ると、彼は笑い出して「早く出発するぜ、クソ野郎！」と言ったものです。

彼は部屋から部屋へと回り、みんなの目覚まし時計と腕時計を合わせ、「出発しろ！」と叫びながら仲間を起こしていきました。
その日は結局プールには入りませんでしたが、ラルフは希望通り早く帰宅できたのでした。

僕はこれまで世界最大級の企業でプロモーション活動や仕事をしてきた経験から学んだことを全て活かし、日本で小さなプロレス団体を立ち上げたいとずっと思っていました。
「ラフ・ハウス」ことラルフ・モスカが、未来の企業との最後の試合に出場できないことみ、本当に胸が張り裂けそうです。

僕にはたくさんの短所がありますが、中でも一番ひどいのは「周りの人ともっと話さなかったこと」です。
友達がいなくて寂しいですし、もっと話しておけばよかったと後悔します。

ラルフ、安らかに眠ってください。
心の底からありがとう。
僕たちは夢中になって夢を追いかけました。
自分の兄のように愛していたことを、あなたが知っていてくれることを願っています。

友達と連絡を取り合ってください。
後になって後悔するよりつらいことはありません。

サイドショー（ACWの伝説的選手・グランドスラムチャンピオン）がラルフ・モスカを偲ぶ

何を言えばいいのか…言葉がありません。
ラルフはおそらく最も痛い悩みの種でした。彼は声が大きく時に不快なほどだったし、最も不適切な時に最悪な発言をすることもありました。でも、そういうことに関しては、彼は一切謝罪しなかったものです。
でも、僕がひどく意地悪で、誰も僕のくだらない話に付き合ってくれなかった時、彼は自分を助けてくれたのでした。

僕が自分自身を見失った時でも、ラフハウスは僕を信じてくれました。
最高の自分になれるよう、僕を励ましてくれるのでした。
彼は友人であり、リーダーであり、同僚であり、兄弟でした。
僕とそれほど年は違わないけど、時には父親のような存在でした。
彼はいつも僕たちレスラー全員を一つにしてくれました。
僕たちはACWのオリジナルメンバーで、機能不全ではあったものの、僕たちは家族でした。

笑いと悲しみ、両方を分かち合いました。
語り合い、冗談を言い合い、くだらないこともしました。本当にパーティーのよう。
振り返ると、ACW時代は僕の人生で最高の日々の一つでした。
そして間違いなく、レスリング人生で最高の日々だったのです。

今まで出会った中で間違いなく一番面白い人の一人であるフルハウス。
いつも冗談を言い合って、いつもお互いをからかっていました。

サイドショーが今のレスラーになれたのは、ラフハウスのおかげです。
彼がいなければ、僕はこの業界でここまでの成功を収めることはできなかったでしょう。
今続けている仕事も、とっくに引退していたはず。
彼は僕に、ビジネスマンでありパフォーマーでいるための術を教えてくれました。

ラフハウスはいつも僕を助けてくれました。
話を聞いてくれたり、バカなことをしている時にきちんとバカ呼ばわりしてくれたりも。
彼は残酷なほど正直だったけど、その性格がいつも僕を支えてくれました。

ラフハウスは僕のかけがえのない友達です。
心から僕のことを気にかけてくれて、本当にありがとう。
ラルフはいつまでも僕のお気に入りのクソ野郎で、彼のいない世界はとても寂しくなることでしょう。

親友ラルフ、愛してるよ。
素晴らしい思い出をありがとう。僕を信じてくれてありがとう。たくさんの機会をありがとう。そして、友達でいてくれてありがとう。

向こう側で会おうぜ、クソ野郎。

ラフハウスのトリビア

  • ラルフ・ルミューという名でも活躍したモスカは、WWFで活動し、ケビン・ナッシュやレイザー・ラモンといった殿堂入り選手と対戦しました。また、ダスティ・ローデス、ダスティン・ローズ、マイク・ロタンダ、ザ・ヘッドシュリンカーズとも対戦しました。
  • ラルフ・モスカはディーゼルのデビュー戦の相手でした。
  • 彼はラルフ・ボーンズという名でも活動していました。
  • ACWヘビー級王者として4回君臨いています。
  • ジョン・ダイアモンドとバンバン・ビガロと共にタッグ王座を複数回獲得しています。

He was a hilarious man and a good man.
He was a pro wrestler, promoter, and hustler.

We worked so hard together in pro wrestling and had some wild times.
We would talk for hours about pro wrestling and the silliest of things in life.

We made American Combat Wrestling together and did things that no one in the state or the world was doing at the time.

I always wanted to write a book with him about our adventures.
I always told myself we will later… fuck.
I regret not talking to him more.
You always think there is more time.

Rough House Ralph Mosca and memories

One of many stories is when we were returning back to New Port Richey, we were tired and stayed at a hotel, he wanted to leave, we wanted to sleep in late and check out the pool.
The alarm went off and he came in shouting the hotel is calling the cops for staying too late.

We all panicked and packed our stuff and left.
I was so sleepy, I didn’t notice anything until I got to our car.
The clock said it was 6 am.
I thought the battery died or something was wrong with the car.
So tired and confused I looked at Mosca and he just started cracking up and said “We have to leave early, dick.”

He went from room to room and adjusted everyone’s alarms and watches and rushed in everyone’s room screaming we got to go.
We never did go in the pool that day but Ralph got to get home early.

I always wanted to start a small wrestling promotion in Japan using everything I learned from my past promoting and working with the biggest companies in the world.
I am so heartbroken that “Rough House” Ralph Mosca couldn’t have his last match with the future company.

I have many flaws but one of my worst is not talking to people in my life more.
I miss my friend and regret not talking to him more.

RIP Ralph and thank you, we were crazy and chased our dreams, I hope you know I loved you like a brother.

Keep in contact with your friends, sometimes later never comes.

Sideshow (ACW Legend and Grand Slam Champion) Remembers Ralph Mosca 

What can I say?
Ralph was probably the biggest pain in my ass.
He was loud, even obnoxious at times and said some of the most inappropriate things at the most inappropriate times.
And when it came to these things he offered no apologies.
But he gave me a spot when I had a huge chip on my shoulder and no one wanted to deal with my bullshit.

He believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself.
He pushed me to be my best.
He was a friend, a leader, a fellow worker and a brother.
He wasn’t that much older than me, but he was still a father figure, at times.
He always had all of us wrestlers come together.
We were the ACW originals.
And we were a family, dysfunctional as it was.

We shared laughs, we shared sadness.
We talked, we joked, we partied. Boy did we party.
Come to think of it, those ACW days were some of the best days of my life.
Definitely my best days of wrestling.
Absolutely one of the funniest people that I’ve ever met.
Always joking around. Always ribbing.

He made Sideshow who he was as a wrestler.
If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have accomplished what I have in this business.
I wouldn’t be doing what I am still doing today.
I would’ve retired a long time ago.
He taught me how to be a businessman and a performer.

He was always there to help me, or listen or call me an idiot when I was in fact being an idiot.
He was brutally honest but he always had my back.
He was my friend. And he truly gave a shit.
Ralph will always be my favorite asshole and I’m gonna miss him A LOT.
I love you Ralph. Thanks for all the amazing memories.
Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for the opportunities.
And thank you for being my friend.

See you on the other side, dick.

Facts about Ralph Mosca

  • Mosca, who also competed under the name Ralph Lemieux, worked for WWF and  faced Hall of Famers like Kevin Nash and Razor Ramon. He also got to wrestle Dusty Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, Mike Rotunda, and The Headshrinkers.
  • Ralph Mosca was Diesel’s debut opponent.
  • He did work under the name Ralphie Bones.
  • Four-time ACW Heavyweight Champion.
  • Multitime Tag Champion with John Diamond and Bam Bam Bigelow.
  • He was a US Navy Veteran.
  • In 2003, he teamed with Kevin Sullivan against Dusty Rhodes & Bubba the Love Sponge on an FIP show. The next year, he wrestled Rhodes in a Texas Bull Rope match.
  • His finisher was named House Party.
