「何とのコラボですか？ロックマン？はぁ…ロックマン…？」
など、
実際にマックに行ってアイスコーヒーを注文。

AirMan from MegaMan2 collab with McDonalds teaser went viral on X
Not long ago, a post on X sent shockwaves through the Mega Man fan community — and honestly, we were not ready for it.
I mean, just look at it. That’s clearly our beloved Blue Bomber, right?!
As lifelong, card-carrying Mega Man nerds, my wife and I immediately flashed back to the old Street Fighter 2 collab and completely lost our minds.
We started wildly theorizing — “What if they’re doing a Happy Meal for retro gamers?!” — working ourselves into a full-on hype spiral over what turned out to be absolutely nothing. 😅
To be fair, Mega Man 2 is basically the soundtrack of our childhoods.
This game is sacred to us.
I mean, when I stumbled across Mega Man 2 boss gachapon machines, I bought them out without a second thought.
That’s how deep this runs.
So naturally, my wife called our local McDonald’s to get the scoop.
The results were… humbling, to say the least.
“Uh….a “Mega Man” collab, Ma’am? …Sorry, we’re not doing anything like that.”
“What collab did you say again? Mega? ….Man?”
The poor staff member — clearly in their early twenties — responded with the kind of blank confusion that could only mean one thing: they have never once touched an 8-bit masterpiece in their life.
A tragedy of the highest order.
We went to McDonald’s anyway.
I ordered an iced coffee.
And you know what?
There was absolutely nothing Mega Man 2 about it.
Just a regular coffee you can order any day of the week… or so I told myself.
I decided to believe — truly, deeply believe — that I could taste the essence of Air Man in every sip. ☕

(I also reviewed their soft serve ad while I was at it, because false advertising doesn’t get a free pass around here. 😂)
After some actual research, the mystery was solved: it turned out that the YouTube song “I Can’t Defeat Air Man” had just gone viral again, and that’s all it was.
No collab.
No Happy Meal.
Just the internet doing what the internet does.

Now, Air Man is tough — no argument there — but personally?
Quick Man’s stage is where I really suffer.
That laser hallway has claimed more of my lives than I care to admit.
So I decided to put it to the test with a full speed run.
Can I clear Air Man’s stage without breaking a sweat?

Mega Man 2 is burned into my soul, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
Expect plenty more playthroughs and live commentary from me down the road — this game isn’t going anywhere.
